Post-Construction Cleaning in Colorado
Rough, final, and puff cleans on new construction and renovation projects across the Front Range. Staffed to your milestones and walked with your team before we leave the site.
Built for a schedule that keeps moving
ECM has been finishing Colorado projects since 1969. We staff to your milestones rather than a fixed crew size, and we stay in contact with your team as the schedule shifts, so you always know exactly where the clean stands against your date.
We walk the space with your team before we demobilize, which means the building is genuinely move-in ready rather than just cleaned, and anything outstanding gets handled while our people are still on site.
We work as a subcontractor to general contractors, and directly for owners and developers on renovation and tenant-improvement work.
Scope
Rough, final, and puff
Every project is scoped on a walkthrough or a set of plans. We price in phases because that is usually how the construction schedule runs, not because phases get dropped.
Rough clean
During construction, once the space is framed and closed in.
- Construction debris removal and haul-off staging
- Sweeping and shop-vac of all hard surfaces
- Removal of stickers, labels, and protective films
- Wipe-down of rough-in fixtures and window frames
- Stairwell, corridor, and elevator lobby clearing
Final clean
After trades are out, before the owner walk.
- Interior windows, frames, tracks, and sills
- Full fixture, cabinet, and casework detail, inside and out
- Appliance interiors and exteriors
- Restroom and kitchen detail and sanitizing
- Floor care by surface: VCT, tile, LVP, polished concrete, and carpet
- High and low dusting, vents, sprinkler heads, and light fixtures
Puff clean
The pass between the owner walk and turnover.
- Re-clean of glass and fingerprint-prone surfaces
- Horizontal wipe down
- Re-clean of spaces reopened after punch work
- Final pass before released to ownership
Punch support
Stop chasing trades for the last five percent
The end of a project is rarely a cleaning problem. It is a dozen small items spread across six subcontractors, and your team spending a week chasing every one of them. We take that list off your hands.
What our punch crews handle
- Minor cabinet, flooring, and trim touchups
- Caulking
- Standard lock changes
- Door, cabinet, and hardware installation, correction, and adjustment
- HVAC filter replacement
- Minor light maintenance
- Trim repair where the damaged section is one inch or less
- Localized bathtub scratch buffing at the front edge of the tub
What comes with it
- Supervision
- Tools
- Incidental consumables
- Mobilization
- Travel
One crew, one contract, one number to call, instead of six subs and a follow-up list. It is the fastest way we know to close the gap between substantial completion and turnover.

FAQs
Post-construction cleaning questions
How much does post-construction cleaning cost in Colorado?
Pricing is scope-based, not a flat per-square-foot rate, because a warehouse shell and a finished clinic are not the same job at the same size. The drivers are square footage, how many passes your schedule needs, glass count, floor type, and how much trade debris is left behind. We walk it, then give you a written number within 48 hours.
What is the difference between a rough, final, and puff clean?
A rough clean happens during construction to clear debris and keep trades moving. A final clean happens after trades are out and is the one that makes the space presentable for the owner walk. A puff clean is the pass between that walk and turnover: glass, fingerprints, and anything disturbed by punch work. Many projects need all three; some only need the final and the puff.
Can you work around other trades still on site?
Yes, and we often do on phased projects. We sequence around whoever is still working and keep your team posted on what is complete and what is waiting.
Do you carry insurance and can you be added as a subcontractor?
Yes. We are bonded and insured, certificates go to your team before mobilization, and additional insured endorsements are routine. We work as a sub to general contractors across the Front Range.
Do you handle punch list work as well as cleaning?
Yes. Touchups, caulking, lock changes, hardware adjustment, filter changes, and minor trim repair, with supervision, tools, and consumables included. It is one of the main reasons GCs keep us through closeout instead of bringing in a separate crew.
How fast can you mobilize?
For most Front Range projects, within a few days of an executed contract. For tight closeout deadlines, call. We have put crews on site the next morning more than once.
